A quarter-mile strip was cut into the privately zoned Navy Yard to provide access to Brooklyn residents landlocked by the expansive port grounds. Sloped passage recounts the building image of Manhattan across the East River via the de-construction of horizon lines.

Four varying materials were used to represent a particular slope which defined the program of the entire plaza. The areas of distinct materials shape the circulation, the storage and rest areas on the site.

On the edge of Manhattan, between West End Avenue and the elevating West Side Highway, a city of housing, parklands, theatre and convention spaces are grown from an overstatic patch of abandoned train yard.

This wall of storage boxes were designed as an addition to a completed loft by MBS. The units, accessible from both sides, are finished with an undulating pattern extending across the 'wall'. All modules are connected by clear Plexiglas legs.
